Video of George Zimmerman the night of Trayvon Martin’s killing is revealing: his claim of self-defense may by false. The Funeral Director said there were no signs of Martin fighting anybody. All spells trouble for Zimmerman’s defense.

George Zimmerman claimed that he was returning to his car when Trayvon Martin attacked him, drove his head into the sidewalk, and broke his nose, according to the Orlando Sentinel. However, a police video of Zimmerman being led into the Sanford Police Station the night he killed Martin shows no signs of wounds to the back of his head, a broken nose, or blood anywhere on his body or clothing. The video certainly appears to show substantial evidence, although not irrefutable, that Zimmerman’s claim of self-defense is false.

Moreover, the funeral director, Richard Kurtz of Roy Mizell and Kurtz Funeral Home in Fort Lauderdale, who handled Trayvon Martin’s funeral, told television talk show host Nancy Grace, “… as far as his hands and knuckles I didn’t see any evidence he had been fighting anybody.”

All along, republicans and conservatives have been persistent at finding ways …

In the tragic death of Trayvon Martin, it is as clear that he was confronted because he was black and dead because of a nonsensical gun law that empowers Floridians to shoot first if threatened.

As everyone should know by now, on his walk back to a townhouse complex just north of Orlando where he was visiting his father, 17-year-old Trayvon Martin was killed by neighborhood watchman, 28-year-old George Zimmerman. Zimmerman said he confronted Trayvon because he was acting suspiciously. However the real reason that walk home from a nearby 7-Eleven turned deadly was because Trayvon was black and because if he had known Zimmerman was armed he may have reacted differently when confronted and provoked by him.

It should be very clear that there was no legitimate reason for Zimmerman to have been suspicious of a young man walking down the street on a rainy Sunday around 7:00 in the evening …

In articles covering Obamacare, pros and cons and statistics, you will find that it can be very complex, somewhat confusing, and the statistics don’t always match up to each other. Nevertheless there is one plan that stands out amongst all of the others.

If one reads the articles on the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), its pros and cons and statistics compared to other rich nations who have government sponsored healthcare, you will find that it can be very somewhat complex, confusing, and the statistics don’t always match up to each other. Nevertheless there is one plan that stands out amongst all of the others.

Fareed Zakaria has presented a comprehensive look at PPACA, or what is pejoratively tagged as Obamacare: a TIME essay, Health Insurance Is For Everyone, and in a CNN special presentation that he hosted, “Global Lessons: The GPS Road Map for Saving Health Care. In them he emphasizes the merits of the healthcare system in Switzerland, which he says “had a system very similar to America’s–private insurers, private providers–with very similar problems.”

I found equally interesting is Forbes’ contributor Avik Roy’ take on Zakaria’s CNN special presentation …

Ohio’s primary resulted in defeat for Dennis Kucinich. He represented all of us who are against war and who are against the attacks by conservatives on the poor and middle-class and the government assistance that helps them.

We have lost a voice for peace, a voice for the worlds downtrodden and America’s destitute, and we have lost a congressman who always has “been more about ideas and values than power and prestige.”

In Super Tuesday’s Ohio primary, Democrat Dennis Kucinich was defeated in his effort to retain his sixteen year seat in the House of Representatives. Ohioans have lost a great representative for their state, but his voice was one that represented all of us who are against war; represented all of us who are against the attacks by conservatives on the poor and middle-class and the government assistance that helps them.

Twice a presidential candidate, Kucinich is a pacifist who rejects the idea that violence and war is inevitable.

For years, Israel has threatened an airstrike on Iran’s nuclear program. The U.S., heretofore its unconditional ally, has also threatened Iran. The international community has imposed sanctions on Iran. Iran is Israel’s and America’s nuclear whipping boy.

For better than ten years, Israel has threatened military action against Iran to destroy or setback its nuclear program. The United States, heretofore its unconditional ally, has also threatened Iran, declaring all military options are on the table. This of course includes the nuclear option. The international community has imposed sanctions on Iran, which some say, such as Congressman Ron Paul, is an act of war in itself.
